So I can use these on a commercial site free of charge?
Yes, of course. All of these types of questions are covered in detail in the Creative Commons Attribution 3.0 License.
Why are so many hit counters free?
There are probably many reasons -- but a primary one is that many counters require a link back to the author's site as part of the license. The license for the free counters from Neurillion do not require that. It would be nice and friendly thing to do, but it's not required by the license.
What's the difference between hit, page, web and other counters?
Not much. It mostly has to do with which accesses are counted.
What is sqlite?
